Code of Practice
1.Tailor Made Inventories will compile inventories and conduct check-outs and check-ins in accordance with the Guidelines of the Association of Independent Inventory Clerks.
2.Tailor Made Inventories will carry out commissions objectively, in a fair and impartial manner.
3. Tailor Made Inventories will be prepared to assist in the event of a dispute, and to attend Court if required, at an agreed fee.
6.Tailor Made Inventories will provide details of his/her Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance on request.
5.Tailor Made Inventories will not have any financial connection with a maintenance, cleaning or similar contracting company.
Terms & Conditions
Invoices are payable within 7 days of invoice date, or Pro forma in the instance of a private landlord booking unless previously agreed.
Tailor Made Inventories reserves the right to withhold any documentation not fully paid for by the Instructing Principal / Agent. Where the Instructing Principal / Agent is in arrears no outstanding documentation will be forwarded. All documentation remains the property of Tailor Made Inventories until full payment is received. Late payment will incur a £25 fee per item, per month overdue.
Tailor Made Inventories will accommodate any persons attending an appointment up to 20 minutes late, after this time Tailor made Inventories reserves the right to abort the visit and re-schedule with charge of £35.00.
A £35.00 charge will be made if the Instructing Principal / Agent fails to supply keys or the clerk is unable to access the property for whatever reason, for a prior agreed appointment, and the Inventory clerk has to return to the property.
Cancellations must be made not less than 24 HOURS before the appointment. Late cancellations will be charged at £35.00.
Any Agent or Instructing Principle who instructs Tailor Made Inventories to carry out any reports on their behalf accepts these Terms of Business in full, negating any existing conditions or terms previously or subsequently in place.
Tailor Made Inventories do not test electrical/gas appliances.
